The FAA regulations are very clear on what is to be accomplished
during aircraft annual inspections. Don encourages owner awareness of
FAR 43 Appendix D. The owner/operator needs to be fully aware of the
requirements of an inspection and Don will answer any questions
you might have about what is covered in detail.
Pilot assisted annuals are welcome. Get involved, remove some
inspection panels and interior components, saving you money while
learning more about your aircraft.
Any repairs needed or requested due to arising discrepancies
discovered during the performance of an inspection (such as hidden
damage after gaining access) will be discussed and authorized by the
owner/operator prior to work being accomplished, and will be quoted a
flat fee, not to exceed without an explanation.
